Meet Dr. Andrew Trosien
Dr. Andrew Trosien has been practicing orthodontics for over 23 years. He’s happiest fulfilling his passion for changing the lives of his patients one smile at a time.
He is from Michigan and quickly became interested in dentistry while in College. He attended the University of Michigan School of Dentistry for dental school. He then attended the University of California, San Francisco, where he received his Certificate in Orthodontics and Master of Science in Oral Biology.
Dr. Trosien is currently an assistant professor at the University of California, San Francisco in the orthodontics program. He has worked for and consulted with Align Technology Research and the development of the Invisalign appliance and holds two patents with them.
He is a published author on temporomandibular joint research, Invisalign treatment, and orthodontic technology. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and serves on the advisory board for Ortho2. In addition, he is Chief Clinical Officer of Ortho Science. He lectures regularly to dentists and orthodontists both nationally and internationally.
Out of the office, Dr. Trosien is a husband to Dr. Trang Duong (also an orthodontist) and an active father to their 3 children – Quynh, Hanh and Thao. Dr. Trosien loves to play guitar, write music, and sing. He enjoys art (but wishes he had more time to paint and draw!). You might see him out for a run or at the gym, or having tacos at a local taqueria.
